Lisa Kole has been fascinated by nature – and has painted it – since childhood. She has studied art in New York City at the Art Students League (where she is a Life Member) and has been a student of Richard Barnet, Oldrich Teply, Timothy Clark and Kamilla Talbot, and at the 92nd Street Y, where she was a student of Viviane Silvera.  She has participated in a number of group shows, recently through Emerge Gallery/Artsy; also, through the Art Student’s League, a Gensler Portrait Exhibition, several Small Work shows at the New York City Council, and an Art Student’s League Red Dot Exhibition. Her unflagging passion for all things biological has also led to degrees in medicine and to licensure as a wildlife rehabilitator. Through art, science, poetry and activism, she explores what it means to be a part of this splendid biosphere.

Lisa lives in the Catskill Mountains with her partner Louis and their companion non-humans, Togo and Viola. She does not sell her own artwork; see “News” for information about current exhibitions. She can be contacted at lisab@lisakoleart.com.
